Essential Ingredients you need for Cooking
- 2 mackerel fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves of minced garlic,
- 1 sliced lemon,
- Salt and pepper according to taste
- Fresh herbs such as thyme, onion or rosemary for garnish while serving.

- A Container or large pot
- Sous vide bags or vacuum-sealed bags
- Cooking machine
- Paper towel
Procedure to follow for cooking delicious Mackerel
Step:- 1 First of all you have to preheat your sous vide water bath to 130°F (54°C).
(The above-mentioned temperature will ensure that the mackerel cooks gently and occlude its moisture.)
Step:- 2 Wash out the mackerel fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place the fillets on a clean kitchen platform
Step:- 3 Spread the olive oil over the fillets, ensuring they are coated properly. Sprinkle the minced garlic over the mackerel fillets and season them with salt and pepper to taste. Put a few wedges of lemon on top of each fillet.
Step:- 4 Make sure to take the best food vacuum sealer and carefully place one seasoned mackerel fillet inside. If needed, you can fold the fillet to fit it into the bag. Do this step with the remaining fillets.
Step:- 5 Seal the bags using the water displacement method. Slowly lower the bags into a container filled with water, allowing the water pressure to push out the air. Once most of the air is removed, seal the bags just above the waterline. Alternatively, if you have a vacuum sealer, use it to vacuum seal the bags and if you don’t have then you can buy the cheapest vacuum sealer from Suvi Cooking.
Step:- 6 Submerge the sealed bags in the preheated water bath, ensuring that they are fully submerged. Use Sous vide container or a large pot to hold the water and secure the immersion circulator according to the manufacturer's instructions. Cook the mackerel fillets for 1 hour.
Step:- 7 After the cooking time is complete, carefully remove the bags from the water bath. Open the bags and transfer the cooked mackerel fillets to the serving crockery. Discard any excess liquid in the bags.
Step:- 8 Optionally, garnish the mackerel fillets with fresh herbs, such as thyme, onion or rosemary, for added aroma and presentation.
Step:- 9 Serve the sous vide mackerel fillets immediately while they are still warm. Accompany them with sides of your choice, such as roasted vegetables, steamed rice, or a fresh salad.
